Acetic Acids

Acetic acid is a carboxylic acid of methyl group which is attached to functional group of carboxyl. Offered acid has distinctively pungent smell and it tastes sour. Acetic acid tends to decompose and transforms into methane and carbon di oxide when heated at more than 440 degree C temperature. Exposure of iron, zinc and magnesium to this acid causes corrosion and produces acetate salt. Offered chemical has multi purpose roles in our daily life. In health care arena, this acid is used to inject to cancer patient to treat tumor. This acid is also required to formulate vinyl acetate monomer and rayon fabric.
